The traditional house “Rosmari” is located in the center of the picturesque village of Afrata, 28 km from the city of Chania and just 4 km away from the small town of Kolymbari. The residence is composed of two guest houses: one called «Anatoli» and the other «Kamares». Both of the guest houses have been recently renovated and can cater to every wish of the visitor who wants to enjoy the Cretan hospitality.
   The renovation of the place was completed in July of 2007, mostly done by the owner himself. The houses are mainly made of stone and wood and the decoration is done in Cretan style. The unique combination of mountain and sea allows the visitors to spend their time as they wish: either relaxing at the beach of the natural bay “Halikia” which is just 800m from the village, or discover the surrounding areas – such as Cape of “Spatha” - by walking, cycling or driving.
   At the traditional coffee-bars (“kafenion”) and canteens in the village and near the sea, visitors will meet ordinary villagers who remain faithful to the tradition and the roots of Crete. You will have the opportunity to see from very close up the way of life in the countryside and taste the pure traditional products like honey, wine, raki, meat, olive oil, hard bread and cheeses. In the village of Afrata you can find a mini-market and 4 km away, in Kolymbari, there are the town hall, post office, medical-care, shops and banks.
